Report: WabiSabiLabi founder arrested in Italian spy case

Three months ago today, we ran a story about WabiSabiLabi, WSLabi for short, which was set up as an eBay-like marketplace for security vulnerabilities.

While that sounds like a free for all at first, WabiSabiLabi was designed with responsibility in mind – although a number of experts had their doubts that it could keep hackers at bay.

One of its founders, Roberto Preatoni, was reportedly charged Monday with unauthorized access to computer systems and wiretapping.

Preatoni had been arrested by police in Milan for his alleged role in a spying scandal at Telecom Italia, according to this report in Computerworld.
