Will a Sopranos sequel feature cybercrime?

In early April, we mentioned on the News Team Blog that if Tony Soprano was a non-fictional gangster, he’d most likely be interested in making money through an electronic data-related scheme.

Dean Takahashi has been thinking along the same lines, going in depth in this article in the San Jose Mercury-News that’s worth a look.

So while Tony Soprano lived to see the end of Sunday’s series finale, it’s worth another wonder whether the New Jersey boss with dwindling manpower and an uncertain situation on the other side of the Hudson River will turn to cybercrime.

The show may be over, but, as evidenced by study after study, cybercrime – and its use by organized crime – are far from sleeping with the fishes.
